A memorial service for Lorinda Horcica Ferguson, 73, of Caldwell, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Burleson County Cowboy Church, located at 300 CR 169, Caldwell.

Mrs. Ferguson died on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020.

Lorinda (Lou) was born on Sept. 19, 1947, to Joe Horcica and Dorothy (Engleman) Horcica.

She married Ted Leighton and had two sons, Randy and Ricky. She also gained a stepdaughter, Anita, and stepson, Ted Jr., with her marriage to Ted.

She was married to Ted for many years and later divorced.

Several years later, she married Cleon Ferguson.

Lou made many friends from her years of working at the Corner Drug and Jewelry Store and as a bus driver for Caldwell ISD.

She loved to laugh and enjoyed making those around her laugh.

She delighted in talking on the phone with friends and catching up with how they were doing.

Lorinda is survived by her sons, Randy Leighton and wife, Brayla, and Ricky Leighton and wife, Dalinda, all of Caldwell; her stepdaughter, Anita Leighton of Romayor, Texas; her stepson, Ted Leighton Jr. of Fort Smith, Ark.; her grandchildren, Trey Groce of Caldwell, Blake Leighton and wife, Lesli, of Madisonville, Brianna Leighton of College Station, and Robert Michael Faust and wife, Lisa, of Hutto; her great-grandchildren, Emily, Amber, Eli, and Christopher Leighton of Madisonville, and Harper Faust of Hutto; her sisters, Betty Jo Hruska of Harlingen, and Melissa Weichert and husband, Charlie, of Caldwell; and several nephews and nieces.
