Funeral services for Wynell “Nell” Reynolds Garcia, 75, of Caldwell, were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, in the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Murphy officiating.

Burial was held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at Grandview Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas.

Mrs. Garcia died on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021.

Wynell Hudspeth was born on March 16, 1945, to Sam James and Zelma Irene Hudspeth.

Wynell graduated from Delta State University with a Nursing Degree. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years.

She retired from Methodist Hospital in Houston and Texas A&M University.

Nell enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting, and needlepoint.

Her greatest joy was working in the vegetable gardens she planted each year and caring for her roses.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eldridge Evans Reynolds in 1987, her second husband, Pete Garcia in 2018; her sons, Michael Evans Reynolds, in 2015, and Kenneth Evans Reynolds, in 2019; her parents, Sam and Zelma; her brothers, Glenn Hudspeth, Gwynn Hudspeth, and Sam Hudspeth Jr. all of Clarksdale, Miss., her sisters, Ernestine Sprouse of Senatobia, Miss., and Betty Ash of Clarksdale, Miss.

Wynell is survived by her son, James, and wife, Terica, of Caldwell; her daughter, Elizabeth Reynolds of Houston; her granddaughters, Brandi (Joe) Gonzales of Crosby, and Sidney (A.J.) Standley of Saratoga; and her great-grandchildren, Arron, Marissa, Allen, Analis, Brenden and Jacob.

Pallbearers were A.J. Standley, Joe Gonzales, Arron Gonzales, Franklin West, Daniel Duke and Warren Moore III.
