Caldwell’s Connor Hughson and Waylon Chapman competed in the UIL Class 4A State Tennis Tournament in boys doubles last week at the Annemarie Tennis Center in San Antonio.
The duo fell in the first round to Eli Frosch and Kayden Lengacher of Kaufman 0-6, 3-6.
The Kaufman pair then beat Carson Dyess and Aidan Gilbert of Canyon Randall 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the finals.
