The Caldwell Hornets concluded the regular season with a 3-2 home win over Smithville on Tuesday, April 25, giving them a tie for third place with Giddings in District 22-4A.
Caldwell, who also defeated Flatonia 10-3 on Monday, May 1, improved to 13-13-1 overall and will be the number four seed for a bi-district playoff with Houston Washington.
