Esther Louise Bergdorf Wolz

Esther Louise Bergdorf Wolz, born February 24, 1933, passed away May 17, 2024, at the age of 91. She was a longtime resident of Caldwell, Texas.

She was born and raised in Fannett, Texas, where she graduated high school.

She then moved to Texas City, Texas, for 17 years.

Esther worked at NASA in Clear Lake, Texas, where she met her husband, Lyle Wolz.

They moved to Deanville, Texas, where she began working for the Burleson County School District as a bus driver, then later for Caldwell Country driving vehicles until she retired.

Esther was a member of the Lutheran Church in Deanville and later became a member of The Cowboy Church in Caldwell.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Lamar Wolz; her parents, Ted and LouEllen Bergdorf; and her sister, Georgie Bergdorf Dodge.

She is survived by her four daughters, Linda Bowman and husband, Randy, Lydia Jackson and husband, Randy, Becky Schuett and husband, Brian, and Lisa Chenault and husband, Cody. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Danny Hays and wife, Holly, Steven Jackson and wife, Emily, Matthew Schuett, Brandon Schuett, Amanda Chenault, Cailey Chenault, Amanada Jackson and husband, Jesse, Ben Bowman and wife, Raquel, and Lee Bowman and wife, Ashlie; and her 10 great-grandchildren.
