A funeral Mass for Everardo Rivera Gonzalez, 45, of Caldwell, Texas, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at St. Mary Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Caldwell.
Everardo was born in Hildago, Mexico, on Feb. 7, 1979, to Arturo Rivera Olvera and Onesima Gonzalez Lopes. He was one of seven siblings.
He met the love of his life through her best friend.
They spoke on the phone until one day she decided to go meet him in person. For her it was love at first sight. This was the beginning of a lifelong beautiful relationship.
Everardo will be remembered as a loving partner, father, uncle brother and friend.
Before he had children of his own, he spent much of his time with his nieces and nephews.
He loved country music as well as mariachi and banda.
Everardo loved to cook carne asada, among other wonderful meals and he was in definitely love with his farm animals.
Everardo was a strict but very loving and loyal example for his family and those he loved. His legacy of love will live on forever.
