Alton W. Urbanovsky, 78, of Caldwell, formerly of College Station, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Brethren Church of Bryan/College Station.
Interment followed at New Tabor Brethren Church Cemetery in Burleson Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
Alton was born in Dime Box, Texas, on November 6, 1945. He was one of the children of John R. and Albina A. (Sebesta) Urbanovsky.
He worked most of his career with Frito-Lay in route sales and was also the owner of the Texaco Stations in Caldwell.
Alton was an organizing member of the Brethren Church of Bryan/College Station and served on the Board of Elders. He also served as an Elder at New Tabor Brethren Church. He was a previous president of the New Tabor Brethren Church Cemetery Association.
Proud to serve his country, Alton served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Alton was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Frances Urbanovsky; his sister-inlaw, Linda Urbanovsky; and two brothers-in-law, Antone Schrader and Ronnie Brumley.
He is survived by his wife, Gail (Owens) Urbanovsky; daughters and sons-inlaw, Karen and David Sebesta, Renee and David Kindt Jr.; grandchildren, Rikki and Lance Sebesta, Breanna, Kristoffer and Kevin Kindt; brothers and sisters-inlaw, John Urbanovsky, Leonard and Francis Urbanovsky, Ernest and Ava Urbanovsky; sisters, Joann Schrader and Carol Brumley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Interim Home Health, Five Points of College Station and Hospice Brazos Valley for the loving care and support they gave to Alton and his family.
