A funeral service Mass for J. Tomas Castaneda-Arguello, 76, of Snook, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell.
Tomas was born on Dec. 19, 1947, in La Hincada, S.L.P., Mexico, to Ricardo Castaneda Duque and Soledad Arguello.
He married Alejandra Lopez, a loving and dedicated wife until his last breath.
He worked as a ranch hand for the Porter family since the early 70s until he retired in 2015.
It was a hard job but he enjoyed riding/training horses, rounding up/branding cattle, building/repairing fences and anything else that came with the job.
When he wasn’t working, you would find him hunting with his buddies or grandchildren.
He loved his roosters, chickens, dogs and horses as well.
He was always happy being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tomas was a very generous man, who would help out anyone if he saw that they need it.
He died on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Alejandra Castaneda; six children; and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
