Damon Albert Cox Jr., a man of profound impact and warmth passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 7, 2024, at his beloved ranch in Caldwell, Texas. He was surrounded by his loving family, who were his greatest joy and pride.
Born on April 20,1944, in the heart of rural Alabama, Damon’s early life was marked by poverty. He quit school as a young child to help his family by picking cotton.
His journey from humble beginnings to becoming a prominent businessman in Houston, Texas, was a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed.
Damon was a family man at heart.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Pat Spann; his three children, Corinne Denise (Dean), Joseph (Jessica) and Jerome (Carlita); and eight grandchildren, Alexandra, Tawnya, Joseph, Damon, Dominic, Mavis, Victoria and Justin.
His home was always filled with music, laughter, stories and the warmth of his generous spirit.
Damon Albert Cox Jr. will be laid to rest in Troy, Alabama, next to his parents and surrounded by many generations of the Cox family.
