CESAR MERAZ TERAN

Cesar Meraz Teran, 78, of Caldwell, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at his home in Caldwell.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at St. Mary’s Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Caldwell.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery.

Cesar was born on February 16, 1946, to Ambrosio Meraz and Aura Teran in Veracruz, Mexico.

He started C & Son Construction over 50 years ago.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

He loved to work. He always drove an old Ford diesel truck.

He enjoyed outdoor cooking. His specialties were fajitas, tacos and tripe.

He enjoyed Norteñas music, as well as dancing and singing. He loved to play the guitar in his younger days.

He loved his coffee, no matter how hot the weather was.

He enjoyed raising his game birds.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lester Meraz; daughter, Lillian Meraz; and brothers, Ambrosio Teran Meraz, Guillermo Teran Meraz and Isral Meraz.

Cesar is survived by his wife, Norma Meraz of Caldwell; sons, Alex Meraz of Caldwell, Cesar Meraz, Jr. of Houston, and Jimmy Meraz; daughters, Aurora Meraz of Lyons, Gabriella Meraz of Mexico, Carmen Meraz of Bastrop, and Magdelana Meraz of Mexico; stepdaughter, Liliana Lopez of Caldwell; brothers, Enoscain Meraz, Jorge Meraz, Sr., and Gelacio Meraz, Sr.; stepbrothers, Conception Lopez, Leonel Meraz, Trinida Meraz, and Mariano Meraz; sisters, Diosemina Meraz, Magdalena Meraz, and Virginia Meraz; stepsisters, Catalina Lopez, Isabel Lopez, Julia Lopez, and Elizabeth Meraz; grandchildren, Lorena, Alicia, Alexandra, Jose Angel, Isabel, Sofia, Ruben, Camryn, Cainin, Jim, Darien, Ridic, David Alexandro, Santiago, and Pedro, Jr.; greatgrandchildren, Julian, Brayden, Valeria, Averly, and Alexis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
