A funeral service for Lillie Mae Hyvl, 94, of Burleson County, was held at 3:00 p.m. on July 5, 2025, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Lillie Mae was born on April 9, 1931.
She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1948.
She married the love of her life, Bohus Hyvl in the same year. Their devoted marriage of 57 years was one of her most cherished, and her most amazing accomplishment.
She was a faithful churchgoer and active member of the Caldwell Brethren Church, and then transferred to New Tabor Brethren Church.
She was active in Christian Sisters.
She will be remembered by many as a joyful giftgiver and thoughtful card writer.
Lillie Mae found pleasure in quilting. She was a polished domino player, playing 42 with Bohus and later chicken-foot with all the grandkids.
She died on June 30, 2025.
She is survived by one son; one daughter-in-law; three daughters; two sonsin- law; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; three stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren; and one brotherin- law.
