She was a longtime member of the Jaycee’s and a proud fan of all things Aggie, especially Aggie athletics.
Sandy, affectionately known as “Gramie,” loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was attending Aggie games, traveling, taking on a project, socializing with the Whataburger Breakfast Club or cheering on her family at their many activities.
She was happiest when surrounded by the people (and animals) she loved.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Mynar; daughter, Kristy Anderson and husband, Loren; grandchildren, Haley Luza and husband, John, Dustin Corbin and wife, Meagan, Shelby Ureste and husband, Joseph, and Payton Thomsen; and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Alleigh, Rory, Jaxon, Evelynn, Laura, Alex and Stetson. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Remi and Sammie.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, R.O “Sonny” and Doris Hoffman; and her daughter, Dana Thomsen.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Elizabeth Lutheran Church in Caldwell. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with services following at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brazos Valley Food Bank, or a local blessing box, a cause that was close to her heart.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
