Mary Evelyn Brown passed away on June 22, 2019, after a fouryear battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell on July 8, 2019, at 11 a.m.
She was born on January 5, 1949, in Pasadena, Texas. Mary married her husband, Charles K. Brown in Houston, Texas, on February 6, 1972. Mary was a Baptist (Southern) by faith and was a member of the Extension Club in Lyons, Texas. Her greatest joy was traveling with her family.
She checked off her bucket list by taking her daughter and husband to Europe, her grandsons white water rafting in Utah, to the Grand Canyon, and recently taking the entire family to the beach each summer. Mary also loved to sew and bake.
Her talent was known throughout the community and she loved to pass that knowledge to her grandkids. Whether it was teaching them the fine art of making French Macarons, canning dewberry jelly, or decorating cookies for the endless tea parties. She was always on hand nurturing, loving and guiding them. Preceding her in death, was her sister and best friend, Shirley.
She is survived by Charles, her husband of 47 years, their daughter, Stacey and her partner Chad, her beloved grandchildren, Caleigh, Camden, Patrick and Savannah. Also, her niece Chloe. Arrangements by Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell
