A memorial service for Richard “Coyote” Roberts, 70, welder, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
Mr. Roberts died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018.
Richard was born on July 18, 1948, in Cleveland, Texas, to Glenn and Wilma (Thomas) Roberds.
He married Shirley Ann Novosad on May 28, 2006, in Lyons, Texas, at the Community Chapel.
Richard was a member of Bluff Dale Baptist Church, was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of the Somerville Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Schoppe; and his grandson, C.J. Davis.
Richard is survived by his mother, Wilma Roberds; his wife, Shirley Roberts; his sons, Ryan Roberds of Bay-town, Texas, Richard Roberds of Arkansas, and John Schoppe of Stephenville; his daughter, Aimie Wilcox of Fort Worth; many grandchildren; and one brother, Brad Roberds and wife, Stacey, and children, Nicholas and Holly, all of Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Masonic Home or the Children’s Masonic Hospital.
