The funeral service for Richard Harrison, 79, of San Antonio, formerly of Burleson County, will be held at 11 a.m on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat.
Richard was born on June 22, 1944, in Bay City, Texas.
He attended Markham Elementary and Tidehaven High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Houston.
His career as a successful entrepreneur is best highlighted by his ownership of Extant Technology, a company he founded and ran for a majority of his professional career.
In his free time, Richard enjoyed immersing himself in the great outdoors.
Richard loved Star Trek. He had books in every room of the house, and hours of audiobooks and podcasts constantly at the ready.
Richard loved to dance with his wife, and the two spent countless evenings seeking polka bands and dance halls to enjoy their shared passion.
Most importantly, Richard was an inherently good person.
He died on Nov. 2, 2023. Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Henrietta; two sons; two daughters-in-law; five grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter; three sisters; one uncle; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
