Jerry John Kubin, 87, native of Caldwell, Texas, passed away on November 17, 2023, at St. Joseph Regional Hospital.
Jerry was born to parents, John and Albina Mahan Kubin.
Jerry graduated from Caldwell High School and played football for and Joseph Ellington; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family.
A visitation was held on Sunday November 26, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service was held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. in New Tabor Cemetery with Pastor David Johnson officiating.

His work experience during his lifetime was in retail and construction.
Jerry enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing, and outdoor cooking for family and friends.
He also enjoyed playing bingo and dominoes.
He enjoyed sports especially watching the Texas Aggie football team.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Kubin; his parents, John and Albina Kubin.
Survivors include his son, Dudley Kubin; his brother, Frankie Kubin and wife, Emma; sister, Linda Cannon and husband, Thomas; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ellington and husband, Joshua, Michelle Kubin, Austin Kubin and wife, Blythe; his great-grandchildren, James Ellington
