    Last week at the UIL Class 2A Region 4 Track & Field Meet, Vela broke the school and regional boys high jump record, winning gold in the event with a leap of 6 feet 8 inches qualifying him for the state meet.

    Last week at the UIL Class 2A Region 4 Boys Golf Tournament, Withem placed fifth, shooting an 82 and a 74 to qualify for the state tournament.
