Caldwell sophomore Mayzi Witherwax led the Lady Hornets to a 10-point win over Hempstead, beating the Lady Bobcats 37-27 last Tuesday, Dec. 30, at home.
Witherwax scored 10 points in the win to lead all Caldwell scorers in the game.
Caldwell had a 1-point lead at the end of the first quarter 9-8 and extended its lead to 18-14 by halftime.
