The Somerville Yeguas opened District 26-2A play last Tuesday, March 10, with a doubleheader at Round Top-Carmine, losing game one 4-3 and winning game two 16-4.
The win in game two improved the Yeguas to 4-11 overall and 1-1 in district play.
In game one, the Yeguas lost when the Cubs scored the winning run on the final play to break a 3-3 tie.
