Mary “Christine” McLendon Vogler, cherished wife, devoted mother, beloved daughter, sister, teacher and friend, was called Home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love and quiet strength that touched countless lives.
Born on May 28, 1982, in Houston, Christine was the beloved daughter of Paul C. and Katherine Davis McLendon and the cherished sister of Bruce Campbell McLendon.
From an early age, her warm spirit and natural curiosity shone brightly.
Growing up, 4-H was a defining part of Christine’s life. She joined at just nine years old, raising pigs and goats and proudly competing in horse events with her beloved horse, Bailey.
She found joy in service projects and community involvement, always eager to lend a hand and make a meaningful difference.
Her dedication and leadership earned her the role of 4-H Ambassador and the prestigious Gold Star Award.
Through 4-H, she formed lifelong friendships and gained invaluable skills that shaped her character, her confidence, and her deep love for her community.
Christine attended Sharpstown Christian School from kindergarten through sixth-grade, then continued her education at Westbury Christian School, graduating in 2000.
Her passion for agriculture led her to Texas A&M University, where she earned degrees in Agricultural Science and Animal Science in 2004.
Christine married the love of her life, Chad Wade Vogler, on May 22, 2004.
Together they built a life grounded in faith, partnership and unwavering devotion.
Their greatest joy came with the arrival of their children, Kylie Grace, Abigail Virginia and Jackson Emil, who were the center of Christine’s world. She poured her heart into motherhood, nurturing her children with gentleness, humor and steadfast love.
Christine’s calling as an educator was evident to everyone who knew her. She began her teaching career at Lexington ISD under the guidance of her mentor, Cyril Wolf, and later continued her work at Caldwell ISD.
Sharing her love for agriculture with students was more than a profession -- it was her purpose. She believed deeply in the value of hands-on learning, community involvement, and helping young people discover their strengths.
Caldwell’s students, staff and families held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the relationships she built there.
Christine will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet determination, her deep love for her family and her commitment to serving others. Her legacy lives on in her children, her students and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Christine held her friends close with a tender, grateful love, cherishing each one as part of her life blessings. Their steady strength, kindness and unwavering support, especially in the hardest moments, meant more to her than words could ever express.
She rests peacefully knowing that these dear friends will continue to surround and uplift the family she leaves in their care.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Chad; her beloved children, Kylie, Abigail and Jackson; her parents, Paul C. and Katherine Davis McLendon, who nurtured her with unwavering love; and her brother, Bruce Campbell McLendon. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother and father-in-law, James and Celine Vogler; her brother-in-law, Kevin and his wife, Kari, and their daughter, Kolbie, Christine’s beloved niece. Additionally, survived by Colby Maresh a cherished part of their family.
Christine’s life was a testament to compassion, faith and the beauty of giving wholeheartedly. She will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
Visitation was to be held at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell on August 5, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Burleson County Cowboy Church on August 6, 2026, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in honor of Christine to the Christine Vogler Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in her memory as a beloved Agricultural Science Teacher and FFA Advisor.
