UIL marching contest is Saturday in Giddings

THE CALDWELL HIGH SCHOOL Band won first place in Group I at last Saturday’s USBands Liberty Hill Regional Contest. The band will be performing this Saturday at the UIL Marching Contest in Giddings.
Last Saturday, Oct. 9, the Caldwell High School Band competed in the USBands Liberty Hill Regional Contest.
The band’s 2021 UIL marching contest show is called “New World: The Music of Dvorak’s Symphony Number 9.”
The band won first place in Group I -- which is based on number of performers and not school size -- with a score of 64.700.
