The Caldwell Hornets took control early with a strong offensive surge and defeated Smithville 68-25 last Friday in their district opener in Caldwell.
Caldwell led 17-7 in the first quarter, 37-12 at halftime and 49-25 in the third.
The Hornets posted a 19-0 shutout in the final period.
