Birch Creek and Somerville volunteer firefighters responded to a Thursday, Sept. 18, fire that burned down a small wooden building at Freedom Ranch off Park Road 57, near the F.M. 60 intersection.
The building was a total loss, but the fire was contained to that area with no additional damage or injuries, said Melvin Lehmann of the Birch Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
