Snook ISD teachers, staff get raises

Teachers, staff and administrators will see increases in their pay when Snook ISD opens for 2025-2026 The Snook School Board held a special meeting on July 9 and voted to give the district’s employees pay raises for the upcoming school year.

Bridge work done on CR 146, old trusses remain

The historic original trusses on the old iron bridge on County Road 146 were preserved and installed last week on the newly constructed bridge.The trusses, considered historical remnants, were set on the new bridge on Wednesday, July 2, and they were welded onto it on Thursday, July 3.

POSGCD board to meet on rules, management plan

The Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District Board was scheduled to consider possible amendments to its district rules and management plan at its Tuesday, July 8, meeting in Milano.The district’s rules committee was scheduled to meet at 3 p.m.

Workshop offers practical tools to save water, improve yields

Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District will host a free agricultural irrigation workshop with Texas A&M AgriLife and Texas Water Resources Institute on Tuesday, July 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Texas A&M University Farm (201 Reveille Rd, College Station).
