DPS arrests Waco man on felony warrant

A Waco man was arrested by a DPS trooper in a May 19 traffic stop in Caldwell on a felony warrant from Lago Vista police for fraudulent possession/ use of a credit or debit card.

RV destroyed in fire on CR 324

Deanville and Cade Lake volunteer firefighters responded on Saturday night, May 24, to a fire on County Road 324 that burned down an RV.The cause was a cigarette lighter that accidentally ignited a bed mattress, said Deanville Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Baldwin.

County rejects permit request for trail ride

Burleson County Commissioners have rejected a requested permit for the Ninth Annual Kountry Riderz One Day Trail Ride, originally planned for Saturday, June 7, in Clay.The commissioners unanimously rejected the permit at a special Tuesday, May 20, meeting.

Commissioners Court OKs mass gathering permit

The Burleson County Commissioner’s Court approved a mass gathering permit application from the Elizabeth Lutheran Church for July 3 at its Tuesday, May 27, meeting.The gathering is the church’s annual July 3rd Celebration, and was approved unanimously without discussion.
