Pollock to run for Burleson Co. judge

Former Burleson County Chief Deputy John Pollock has announced his intention to run for county judge in the March 2026 Republican Primary.Pollock served as the county’s chief deputy under former Sheriff Gene Hermes from March of 2020 to Dec. 31, 2022, and is retired and living in Snook.

Caldwell eyes decision on city hall construction site

The Caldwell City Council was scheduled to discuss and to decide whether the city hall construction site is worth saving or should be demolished at their Tuesday, June 17, meeting.Some council members at a May 27 workshop session said the building likely could not be saved.

Man charged in drug possession

A 28-year-old Temple man was arrested by a DPS trooper on Monday, June 9, on felony drug possession charges following a traffic stop off State Highway 21 East in Caldwell.

Home burglary case investigated

Burleson County sheriff ’s deputies are investigating the recent burglary of a home in the 300 block of Dogwood Circle involving tampering with electrical breaker boxes.
