The City of Snook is close to hiring its first police chief.The city council on Monday, April 28, authorized City Administrator David Junek to begin contract negotiations with the city’s sole candidate for the position following a 45 minute executive session.

Man charged in drug case after Somerville search

Somerville police assisted Brenham police and other area agencies in a recent felony drug investigation and search in the 300 block of Avenue Q in Somerville, resulting in the April 17 arrest of a 22-year-old Brenham man.
