Last Wednesday, the Lady Hornets opened the Giddings Summer Basketball League with a 30-23 win over the Giddings High School #1 team in the high school’s main gym.
Caldwell held a 15-11 lead after the first half, and never fell behind.
The Lady Buffs were able to make it a twopoint game at various points in the second half, such as 19-17 with 5:26 left and later 2523 with 35.5 seconds remaining.
