Beats Bellville in straight sets for championship
The Caldwell Junior High eighth-grade A team beat Bellville on Oct. 26 on the road to win the district championship.
The team was led by the duo of Keirstyn Macik and Lydia Giese.
Macik had two aces nine kills, eight assists, two blocks and five digs, while L. Giese had one ace, three kills, seven assists, one block and eight digs.
Mayzi Witherwax had a strong presence on the backline with 23 digs.
