The Caldwell Hornets went 4-1 last week at their Kolache Capital Invitational Tournament, placing second behind O’Connell.
Caldwell, who also lost to Buffalo on Nov. 25 8338 and on Dec. 3 to East Bernard 58-40, improved to 5-5 overall.
The Hornets defeated Bryan JV 71-18, Hempstead 62-56, Milano 71-55 and Caldwell JV 82-32 before falling to O’Connell 81-64 in the championship game.
