The Caldwell Hornets got off to a slow start and were unable to catch up in a 61-42 loss to Troy last Friday at home.
The Trojans went in a 22-9 run in the first quarter and controlled the game thereafter.
Caldwell fell to 10-11 for the year.
The Hornets battled Troy on mostly even terms the rest of the game, trailing just 36-23 at halftime and 49-34 in the third.
