Funeral services for Dorris Price Moran, 98, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Angleton.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1925, in Chilton, to Quincy Robert Moran and Myrtle Lee (Mann) Moran.
D.P. was a loving husband, father and PaPaw.
He married the love of his life, JoAnn Bailey Moran (‘Puddin’ as he affectionately called her) on May 5, 1948, in Chilton. They were married four days shy of 76 years, when she passed away May 1, 2024.
D.P. served in the Army during World War II in Japan.
He was a farmer, oil field roustabout and truck driver.
He loved fishing on Lake Somerville and serving as a volunteer fireman at the Birch Creek Fire Dept. in Somerville.
He died Saturday, July 27, 2024.
He is survived by four sons; one daughter; 14 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat- grandchild; one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
