Linda Sultenfuss of Academy passed away May 29, 2024, at the age of 70.
Linda was born on April 27, 1954, to Emmit and Gladys Wolz of Deanville, Texas.
She attended Deanville School from first through eighth-grade and graduated Caldwell High School in 1972.
She started her 36 years of employment with Rural Development (formerly Farmers Home Administration) USDA in January 1973 in Bryan, Texas.
She transferred to the Texas State Office in Temple where she worked until her retirement in 2009.
She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Rogers and was a member of the Ladies Society.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Emily Lynn Sultenfuss; her parents, Emmitt and Gladys Wolz; brother, Donnie Kenneth Wolz; and her nephew, Thomas Calvin Wolz.
Linda is survived by her husband, Patrick T. Sultenfuss Sr.; son, Cody Sultenfuss, Rob Leach; grandsons, Fritz Bryant and Finn Caspar; stepsons, Patrick Sultenfuss Jr. and wife, Cindy, and Matthew Sultenfuss; stepdaughter, Shannon Sultenfuss; grandchildren, Ashli De-Fraties and husband, Kyle, Samantha Sawyer and husband, Blake, Morgan Shine and husband, David, Justin Sultenfuss, Amanda Sultenfuss, Jude Sultenfuss and David Sultenfuss; and two great-grandchildren, Cedric DeFraties and Sarah Beth Sawyer; brothers, Emmitt Wolz and wife, Jane, of Caldwell, Fritz Wolz of Caldwell and David Wolz and wife, Rhonda, of Caldwell; and sister, Dorothea Matcek and husband, Jerry, of Bryan; as well as eight nieces, three nephews, and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday June 6, 2024, with Rosary following at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Rogers.
Burial will follow at Reeds Lake Cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held at the St. Matthew Parish Hall following burial.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church Building Fund.
