A funeral service for Norman Glen Boehme, 85, of Manor, Texas, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin, Texas.
Norman was born in 1938 in Caldwell, Texas, to Herbert and Pearl (Rankin) Boehme.
He graduated Caldwell High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He married Laverne Urbanovsky in 1961, and they lived in Austin and later in Manor.
Norman loved Jesus, his family and friends, and all of his animals. He loved taking care of his cattle and other creatures.
He was a hard worker who had varied vocations as a printer, farmer, rancher and maintenance worker. He retired from Manor ISD Maintenance department, but continued his farming and ranching.
He loved to talk and tell stories.
He was a rare fan of both Texas and Texas A&M football.
Norman was a kind, faithful, honest man, and he will be missed by his family until we see him again.
He died on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023.
Norman is survived by two sons and their spouses.
