James Howard Qualls Sr., 81, of Caldwell, died at his home on Saturday, May 23, 2020. James was born on March 11, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Qualls and Bessie Qualls; and his son, James Howard Qualls Jr., “Jabo.

Visitation for Jasmine Maxwell, 18, of Somerville, was held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville Ms. Maxwell died on Saturday, May 9, 2020. Jasmine was born on Nov. 10, 2001.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Clarence Wayne Schoppe, 66, of Katy, was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation was held from 2-8 p.m.

Graveside services for Bonnie Brown, 85, of Brenham, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Oaklawn Cemetery with Pastor Corby Brizendine officiating. Visitation was held from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Strickland Funeral Home.

CHARLES WILSON

A celebration of life for Charles (Charlie) Ogilvy Wilson Jr., 91, of Brenham, will be held at a later date. Charlie was born on Nov. 7, 1928, in Temple to Charles Wilson Sr., and Lorene Bachus Wilson. He grew up in Navasota and later moved to College Station when he was in the eighth-grade.

Graveside services for Mary Lue Griffin, 90, of Granbury, were held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Mrs. Griffin died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
