Last week, the Hornet soccer team lost two district games.
At home, the Hornets played Smithville to a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation, however the Tigers outscored Caldwell in overtime, winning 4-3 in penalty shots.
Coach Burt Yates said, “It was a hard fought game with Caldwell having many chances at goal.”
Then, Giddings edged Caldwell 2-1 on the road last Friday.
