Jones, Garcia-Vega place first, second at Brenham powerlifting

    Somerville’s JaShawn Jones and Roberto Garcia- Vega topped the SHW class at last week’s Brazos Valley Powerlifting League-Boys Meet 3 in Brenham.

    Jones won gold with a total lift of 1,270 pounds 510 pounds in the squat, 350 pounds in the bench press and 410 pounds in the dead lift.

    His teammate Garcia-Vega placed second with a total lift of 915 pounds 365 pounds in the squat, 205 pounds in the bench…
