LAST WEEKEND, CALDWELL JUNIOR HIGH School hosted the Caldwell Junior High Invitational Tournament, and the seventh-grade A boys basketball team won its division at the event. Also, the eighth-grade A team finished second in its division at the tournament.

On Tuesday, Jan. 13, the Lady Hornets hosted Navasota, falling to the Lady Rattlers 37-30.Mayzi Witherwax led Caldwell in scoring with 13 points.Other scorers for Caldwell were: Ireland Morgan, eight points; Kaely Brown, four points; Hannah Rae Clark, three points; Lydia Hicks, two points.Then, on Friday, Caldwell hosted Smithville, coming up on the losing end 38-29....
