    The Somerville Yeguas just might be the surprise team in District 13-2A this season -- a team loaded with experienced talent and promising newcomers.

    Texas Football magazine has the Yeguas picked third behind district favorites Granger and Burton, both solid playoff teams a year ago.

    The Yeguas showed some hope in 2022 with four district wins after a slow start and then slumped in 2023.
