Lady Yeguas fall to Hearne 53-48

Last Friday, the Lady Yeguas traveled to Hearne, falling to the Lady Eagles 53-48.Somerville had a fivepoint lead in the fourth quarter, but “too many simple mistakes down the stretch” proved to be costly for the Lady Yeguas, according to Head Coach Josh Vela, with Somerville losing the game.

Lady Hornets fall to Belton, Flatonia

Last week, the Lady Hornets struggled offensively, resulting in home losses to Belton and Flatonia.Last Tuesday, Caldwell fell to the Lady Tigers of Belton 49-18.Ireland Morgan led Caldwell in scoring with seven points.

Caldwell defeats Milano, defeated by LaVega

The Caldwell Hornets defeated Milano 54-45 and lost to LaVega 82-20 in road games last week.Against Milano on Tuesday, Dec. 16, Caldwell led 10-8 in the first quarter, 25-17 at halftime and 41-28 after three quarters.

Lady Jays fall to Burton 64-31

Last Friday, the Lady Jays hosted Burton, falling to the Lady Panthers 64-31.Burton took an early 23-8 lead by the end of the first and continued to outscore Snook in each of the remaining three quarters.Kienow again led Snook in scoring with 11 points.

Snook improves to 14-2 with Weimar, Granger wins

The Snook Bluejays continued to roll in the past week with a 52-35 home win over Weimar on Monday after a 4337 win over Granger on Dec. 16.Snook improved to 142.Against Weimar, Snook led 16-6 in the first quarter, 32-13 at halftime and 42-25 after three quarters.

The Somerville Yeguas dominated on defense in a 64-15 home win over Holland on Tuesday, Dec. 16.Somerville got control early with leads of 21-7 in the first quarter, 38-8 at halftime and 50-15 after three quarters.
