Lady Hornets fall to Madisonville 38-18

Last Tuesday, Caldwell hosted Madisonville with the Lady Mustangs beating the Lady Hornets 38-18. Jae Mathis was Caldwell’s leading scorer with seven points. Seniors Daisha Denson and Andrea Flores each scored four points in the loss. Macy Narro scored two points and Riley Broaddus added a point.

District 19-3A officials recently released the All-District list for the 2021 volleyball season and senior Macy Narro and junior Ashlyn Kellum were selected for the district’s Second Team. Narro, the Lady Hornet libero this season, averaged 16.

The Lady Jays played their season opener at home, hosting Madisonville last Tuesday. Madisonville scored in double digits in each of the four quarters to beat Snook 48-13. Snook was only able to score four points in the first half and added only nine in the second half.
