Cade Lake, Black Jack and Deanville firefighters responded on Wednesday, Jan. 28, to a grass fire off F.M. 908 in Black Jack that was triggered by embers from a previous controlled brush pile burn.
The blaze, aided by a strong north-northwest wind of about 5-10 mph, eventually burned more than 10 acres, firefighters said.
