Building empty when blaze occurs, no hens lost
A large hen farm house located at 2109 County Road 112 near Deanville burned down early Thursday, June 6, but fortunately there were no hens inside.
A new shipment of chickens was expected on Sunday, so the building was empty awaiting their arrival, said Jeff Baldwin, assistant fire chief of the Deanville Volunteer Fire Department .
