The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office was recently issued a notice of non-compliance for the county jail by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.
The finding was issued after the jail commission’s review following an inmate’s death from natural causes on July 7.
The findings cited procedural issues concerning medications and checking on inmates face to face.
