Thanksgiving has been celebrated in some way since the 17th century, beginning in 1621, when settlers celebrated their successful harvest, aided by the Native Americans who taught them essential agriculture practices.
In modern days, Thanksgiving is a day when families and friends gather to express gratitude for the year’s blessings over a shared feast.
