Somerville ISD could be considered a “District of Innovation” (DOI) in the next school year.
During last Wednesday’s school board meeting, the board set Feb. 22 as the date to possibly approve the DOI plan and then notify the Texas Education Agency (TEA) that the district has adopted a local innovation plan and should be designated as an Innovation District.
