The Snook City Council has approved an occupancy tax for hotels for up to 7% of the price paid for a hotel or motel room.
However, the tax will not include bed and breakfasts or shortterm rental properties.
The city council unanimously approved that ordinance on a 4-0 vote at their Monday, Dec. 23, meeting.
The council had discussed the issue at their Nov. 25 meeting with those two exclusions noted.
