Stuff the Bus drive set for Monday, Aug. 11

The annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive is set for Monday, August 11, from 4-6 p.m., with locations in Caldwell, Snook and Somerville.Donations of school supplies or monetary donations will be accepted at each of the three locations and drop boxes across the county.

Burleson County Historical MuseumThe Burleson County Historical Museum is open every Friday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The museum is located on the first floor of the Burleson County Courthouse. The museum will be closed on Burleson County holidays.

Atmos plans construction work along State Highway 21

Atmos Energy will begin construction work along State Highway 21 and in the surrounding neighborhoods beginning Monday, Aug. 4.The work will involve a new, upgraded gas line installation to serve the west side of the city to the industrial park area, Caldwell City Administrator Camden White said.

Man dies in rollover on F.M. 908

In a tragic span of less than an hour on Tuesday afternoon, two major accidents occurred -- a truck rollover fatality on F.M. 908 and a collision involving an 18-wheeler and car at F.M. 60 and F.M. 50 in which a driver was flown by helicopter to an area hospital.
