SPJST rally supports local families in need

SPJST members throughout Northeast Texas raised $269 in donations for the local food bank and Snook and Caldwell Blessing Boxes during the District 1 Rally.Organizers called the District 1 Rally one of the most well-attended rallies this year.

TxDOT seeks feedback on $101.6 billion, 10-year plan

Now’s the time to weigh in on proposed projects in communities across the state. The Texas Department of Transportation (Tx-DOT) is working on a new 10-year statewide transportation plan to meet the demand of a growing population and a thriving economy.

Taco Bell coming to Caldwell on State Highway 21 West

Caldwell is getting a Taco Bell restaurant at the intersection of Echols Street and State Highway 21 West.Construction is underway and should be completed and the restaurant opening by mid August, company officials said.The addition is another success story for steadily growing Caldwell.

Snook takes 1st look at budget

The Snook City Council got its first look at the preliminary $1,172,607 budget for 2025-26 at their June 23 meeting to begin evaluating where cuts will be needed to balance it.The items were for discussion only, and no action was taken.
