An Anderson woman was arrested on Tuesday, June 24, on a burglary of a habitation charge, in connection with a Monday, June 2, incident in Somerville.

Home burglary case investigated

Burleson County sheriff ’s deputies are investigating the recent burglary of an unoccupied house on Elm Drive at Cade Lake in which two computers were stolen.

A Porter woman was arrested on Monday, June 23, on charges of arson, assault causing bodily injury and theft of a drivers license, in connection with an incident earlier that morning at Cade Lake.

Commissioners approve election grant application

Burleson County commissioners approved a resolution to apply for the 2025 HAVA Election Security Subgrant at the special meeting on Monday, June 23. The gran t i s f o r $42,500, with $8,500 matching funding from the county and, if received, would go towards election security in the county.

First meeting of Garden Club scheduled for July 9

The newly established Burleson County Garden Club will host its first meeting on Wednesday, July 9, at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Caldwell.The club will be a member of the Texas Garden Clubs, Inc. and is open to anyone in Burleson County.
